The Science Behind Epsilk; Why It’s Effective

Epsilk utilizes Intense Pulsed Light to disrupt the hair growth cycle, delivering light energy directly to the hair follicle. This method targets melanin in the hair, making it effective for long-term hair reduction.

Hair grows in three phases:

  1. Anagen (Growth Phase): 80-90% of hair is actively growing and responsive to IPL. The light targets melanin, heating and destroying the follicle to prevent future growth.
  2. Catagen (Transition Phase): 1-3% of hair is transitioning, with slower growth.
  3. Telogen (Resting Phase): 10-20% of hair is resting and will eventually shed.

Since hair is in different phases at once, multiple IPL treatments are required to target all hair during its growth phase, ensuring optimal and lasting results.
